Some Personal Thoughts by Gisela Plambeck
Meanwhile for 9 years I am in charge of organizing the Tag der Shanty-Chöre.
During this time I have got to know 65 choirs from both home and abroad and in the
last 25 years it must have been about 100 choirs that came to Cuxhaven for participating
in this well-known festival.
Many friendships have developed throughout this continuous contact to the shanty-choirs - a really nice aspect of my job. But also the good connections to the Shanty-Chor Cuxhaven and to Klaus Erlewein have contributed to the fact that this event has become my favourite one.
This year, I really enjoyed organizing the event and I hope, everyone will have fond memories of this weekend.
